The Hiroshima International Animation Festival is a comprehensive animation film festival, which consists of the competition, special screenings, workshop, seminar, exhibits and more. Of course the competition is the centerpiece, screening the entries from the preliminary selection.
The special screening programs offer the latest works from specific countries, gems by prominent creators and collections of works related to specific themes. The festival includes commercial as well as independent films/videos. Besides, it is also worth pointing out that both domestic and international film companies come to Hiroshima searching for animation talent. One of the great features of Hiroshima festival is the many different categories of films shown.

The Milano Film Festival was first run in 1996 as a festival and gathering for short films and was open to young Milanese filmmakers. Since then, it has always distinguished itself from other festivals for ITS thorough research, selection and distribution of its works, which come from all over the world and for presenting quality work from young talented filmmakers. First open to feature films in 2000, when it found in the Piccolo Teatro a prestigious venue, year after year the Milano Film Festival history has been enriched by a multitude of stories told in a wide variety of genres and formats. Since its first edition, Milano Film Festival has received and collected more than 10.000 short and feature films; it has selected and distributed more than 350 works; it has featured side events, workshops and meetings with film professionals, concerts and exhibitions.
